Is a VPN legal to use here?
Yes. Using a VPN is legal, and Bharu operates openly as a registered PSE. If the rules change, we comply and explain the change plainly in the app.
Will my banking and e-wallet apps still work?
Split tunneling keeps chosen apps outside the tunnel. You can also pause protection briefly, while Saver mode never opens a full tunnel in the first place.
What is Saver mode exactly?
Encrypted DNS to Bharu’s resolver without a full tunnel. It restores most DNS-blocked sites and adds tracker blocking, but it does not mask your IP or reroute traffic.
What do you log, really?
No browsing history, connection timestamps, or source IPs tied to activity. Bharu holds only the account, its balance, and necessary payment records.
How does prepaid work? Do you auto-charge me?
Never. Top up days like phone credit. When they run out, the paid tunnel stops and free Saver mode keeps running. There is no card on file to charge.
Which devices can I use?
Android 8 and newer today, with iOS next. Each account supports up to five named devices that you can revoke from the web dashboard.
What is the catch with the free tier?
Capacity. Free includes the complete safety kit with 3 GB of tunneled data each month across Jakarta and Singapore.
